• Craiging Crozer

Pennsylvania State Representative Craig Williams has proposed using $200 million from last year’s state budget to create a Hospital Acquisition Assistance Fund. Craig  Williams claims that these funds are unspent, but they are in fact a part of the Medicaid operating budget that helps over 3 millions Pennsylvanians, including children, pregnant women, retirees, people with disabilities, and those needing long-term care. Under his plan, these funds would be used to entice a buyer to reopen Crozer Hospital and potentially other shuttered facilities. This fund would be overseen by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

Williams’ plan is dangerously misguided and misleading.

  • A Living Wage for All

On June 11, 2025, "the Pennsylvania House of Representatives voted to pass a historic bill which would raise the minimum wage in Pennsylvania for the first time in more than a decade, designed to give every worker a base level pay of $12 an hour by 2028.

Unlike previous proposals to raise the minimum wage, HB 1549, sponsored by state Rep. Jason Dawkins, D-Phila. and chairman of the Labor and Industry Committee, takes a regional approach to raising the wage, tying it to the local cost-of-living and similar to successful models implemented in Oregon and New York."

    Craig voted NO.

  • Protecting our hospitals

House Bill 1460 will protect future hospitals from being drained like Crozer:
An Act providing for approval from the Department of Health and the Office of Attorney General before certain transactions involving health care entities within this Commonwealth.

  • Everyone Deserves Due Process

As Heather Cox Richardson wrote, "The administration appears to have tried to create a fiction whereby the U.S. can spirit anyone out of the U.S. without due process, render them to prison in another country, and then declare it doesn't have the power to get the person back." At the state level, Rep. Williams is working to introduce a bill that supports the punishment of elected officials for not complying with ICE, while ICE is violating individuals' right to due process. Let our representative know this is unacceptable by coming out on Wednesday, April 23rd.
